What are we going to do about the housing crisis?

Queensland is facing a housing crisis. 20,000 Queenslanders are homeless, over 29,000 are on the waiting list for social housing, and 1 in 5 are struggling to pay the rent or mortgage. Meanwhile, an entire generation of Queenslanders have been locked out of the housing market.

Queenslanders are suffering because unlike education and healthcare, housing is treated as a commodity - something investors, property developers and banks make billions of dollars a year buying and selling.

Come along to our community forum to hear how the Queensland Greens will fight to make sure that every Queenslander has the right to a safe and secure home they can be proud of.
