With rising fuel prices hitting hard, and the ferries out of action, now is a crucial time for us to be pushing for free and frequent public transport.
Hundreds of locals have signed our petition calling on the BCC and State Government to improve the 192 – but they haven’t budged. It’s time for us to ramp up the pressure.
Join us for a community action to fight for free and frequent buses. We’ll be meeting next to the Montague Markets at 6pm, and then getting onto the 192 bus together at Raven Street Stop 12 at 6.34pm. We’ll get off near Coles at West End and all have a drink and some snacks together at Mu'ooz. To send a strong message for free and frequent buses, we won’t be paying our bus fares.
If you have questions about the risks of participating in a protest action where we don’t pay bus fares, please email [email protected]
