In early July, a week out from the 125 year anniversary of East Brisbane State School, a state government department issued a statement saying the school was safe and wouldn’t need to relocate. Then hours later Labor frantically backpedalled, saying that they still couldn’t confirm the school’s future past 2025, and that any upgrades to the Gabba will impact the school.
