In 2021, the Queensland Government refused to debate the Greens private members bill for real renters rights. That Bill would have introduced rent caps, banned rent bidding, allowed minor modifications, and properly ended no-grounds evictions. You can read more here.

The government have said that they will be starting 'stage two' of their rental reforms this year. So we're gearing up to push them to get the rights that renters really need.
